Hospice is a program of care and support for people who are terminally ill. The primary goal is to improve the “Quality of Life when the Quantity of Life is limited”sm. The Hospice program encompasses the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of the patient.
Pain Control Management
Our Hospice Nurses are experienced and trained to be the experts in pain management. We strive for all patients to have quality of life and comfort care. Our Medical Directors are highly experienced in pain management and will do house calls whenever needed. We do not hasten or prolong death. Many times we find that when a patient is comfortable and at peace they decide when is the best time to go.
A team approach to care for the medical psychosocial needs of the patient and their family. The interdisciplinary team includes; Hospice Medical Director, Patient’s Physician, Licensed Nurses, Home Health Aides, Medical Social Workers, Spiritual Counselors, and Volunteers.
Bereavement and Grief Counseling
These services are provided to the patient and families during their hospice care services. To assist with the grieving and bereavement process 1 year of bereavement services is offered to the family following their loved ones passing. We also offer complimentary bereavement support groups to the community.
